FUEL CELL POWER GENERATION DEVICE AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power generation device improved in durability by restraining deterioration by oxidization of an anode and a cathode in start and stop; and to provide its operation method.

SOLUTION: This fuel cell power generation device is provided with: an electrolyte 1; a pair of electrodes 21 and 22; a fuel cell 5 comprising a pair of separator plates 41 and 42; a desulfurization part 6 for desulfurizing a material gas; and a gas replacement part for replacing all or a part of a fuel gas and an oxidizer gas left in the fuel cell 5 with desulfurized material gases. Since the fuel gas and the oxidizer gas are replaced with the desulfurized material gases, deterioration of the anode 21 and the cathode 22 due to oxidation is restrained, and durability of the fuel cell power generation device is improved.
