OPTICAL FIBER BRAGG GRATING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber Bragg grating where the ripples are suppressed in a transmission spectrum.

SOLUTION: In the optical fiber Bragg grating 30, a Bragg type grating is formed in a core area 31; a resin layer 33 is arranged around the clad area 32; a relative refractive index difference of the resin layer 33 to the clad area 32 is -1% or more and 8% or less; and a light absorbing agent is contained in the resin layer 33. It is preferred that the thickness of the resin layer is 100μm or more and 400μm or less. It is preferred that the light absorbing agent contained in the resin layer 33 is made of a material absorbing the light of 1.55μm band wavelengths, and also contains carbon black.
