PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a degree of difficulty for editing a pirated copy of a DVD publication by a realistic means acceptable to general users and markets. SOLUTION: This is a digital multi-purpose disk in which a BCA area, a read-in area, a data area, and read-out area are standardized in order from the inner circumference; enciphered contents are recorded in the data area; 1st part information of a cryptographic key is recorded in the BCA area; 2nd part information of the cryptographic key is recorded in the read-in area; the cryptographic key can be deciphered by the 1st part information and the 2nd part information; and the contents can be deciphered by using the decoded cryptographic key.
