PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly calculate the mass of a molecule to consequently measure a molecule replacing volume and all related quantities. SOLUTION: A particle size within a submicron range can be extracted even in a case that there is diffusion by integrating a means for forming the light scattered from a sample subjected to centrifugal separation and detecting the same. The integration of a light scattering detector with an environment of high-speed mechanical processing is achieved by adding alteration to the transparent surface of the sample holding region of a centrifuge. By this optical alteration, a stationary detector set can be arranged so as to converge the light scattered by the sample during an available short converging period. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
