PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device for a rain shutter door, which opens/closes the rain shutter door through simple one-touch operation, and readily elevates the same by manual operation. SOLUTION: The opening/closing device for the rain shutter door is formed of a shutter curtain 1, guide rails 2 erected on both sides of the shutter curtain, a take-up shaft 6 horizontally erected along a ceiling, and having take-up drums 7 for taking up the shutter curtain 1, at both edges of the same, a take-up spring 8 externally installed on the take-up shaft and having a rotating force in a take-up direction imparted thereto, an opening mechanism built in a bottom portion 5, and a locking mechanism 13 for unlocking a lock in interlock with the opening mechanism. Further the opening/closing device is comprised of a fixing pin 10 arranged on each guide rail 2 at a lengthwise predetermined location, and a tension spring 11 arranged along the guide rail 2 such that one end thereof is engaged with the fixing pin 10 and that a return block 12 is fixed to the other end thereof. In this manner, as the shutter curtain 1 is lowered, part of the shutter curtain engages with the return blocks 12 to elongate the tension springs 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
