<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner replenishing device which can replenish toner of a controlled amount directly to a development apparatus from a toner housing container disposed independently as a separate body in the development apparatus and is compact. <P>SOLUTION: The toner replenishing device includes the toner housing container 20 in which the toner to be replenished to the development apparatus 10 is housed and which is disposed independently as the separate body from the development apparatus 10 and a screw pump 41 which sucks the toner housed in the toner housing container 20 and is disposed in a part of the development apparatus 10.
