<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for inkjet recording which has a greenish blue color tone and can attain a high printing density when printed on a plain paper and high gloss properties when printed on a glossy paper, and an aqueous dispersion used for the aqueous ink. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion for the aqueous ink comprises a polymer particle, dispersed in water, of a water-insoluble vinyl polymer containing, as a coloring agent, a halide of a metal-free phthalocyanine pigment or a halide of a metal phthalocyanine pigment containing as a central atom copper, zinc, iron, nickel, cobalt, tin, titanium, silicon, vanadium, manganese or aluminum.
