<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material of well-balanced performance from the viewpoint of excellent texture whiteness and heat response as well as superb shelf stability of a recorded image part and a texture part such as plasticizer resistance, heat/humidity resistance and heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal recording material contains a 4,4'-bis(p-toluenesulfonyl aminocarbonylamino)-diphenylmethane, a sulfonyl phenol derivative or a ureaurethane derivative, a sulfonylphenol derivative or a ureaurethane derivative in a thermal color development layer including a leuco dye, an organic acid substance and a sensitizer. In addition, the material contains a naphthyl alkylsulfonate derivative as the sensitizer represented by Ar(R1)<SB>m</SB>(OSO<SB>2</SB>R2)<SB>n</SB>(provided, however, that Ar is a naphthalene ring; R1 is a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an acyl group or an alkyloxycarbonyl group; R2 is a 1-4C alkyl group; m is an integer of 0-4; and n is an integer of 1-4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
