<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo charger device with an electric motor which can be driven throughout a rotation range needed as a turbo charger and besides is inexpensive and practical. <P>SOLUTION: A power control device 3 comprises an inverter 12 giving a drive waveform to a dielectric motor 2; an inverter voltage control means 15 to control the output voltage of the inverter 12; a converter 16 to boost a voltage fed to the inverter 12; a converter voltage control means 17 to control the output voltage of the converter 16; and a control signal generating means 18. The control signal generating means 18 controls the inverter voltage control means 15 on the low speed rotation side and controls the converter voltage control means 17 on the high speed rotation side. A turbocharger is constituted such that by noticing that it is rotated at 10,000 or 20,000 rpm during idling, the dielectric motor 2 is driven by using a simple short waveform, in which no load is applied on waveform control, throughout a whole area of rotation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
