PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling oil composition capable of sufficiently preventing the oxidative degradation and the generation of stain even by performing the rolling work under high rolling reduction at a high rolling speed. SOLUTION: The rolling oil composition contains at least one kind of base oil selected from mineral oil, oil-and-fat and synthetic oil, and an additive selected from a compound of formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>is a 2-8C alkyl), etc. The total amount of the additive is 0.01-3 mass% based on the whole composition.
