<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual keyboard system capable of performing an input by hand image without hindering visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The virtual keyboard system comprises a hand image generation part 102 for generating a hand image 202 modeling after a hand shape interlocking with the movement of an operator's hand 210, and a display device 108 for displaying the hand image 202 generated by the hand image generation part 102 over a virtual keyboard 203 of a display screen 205.
