<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip compressor being one of various machine tools, wherein a device itself is comparatively miniaturized and composed of a novel structure enabling manufacturing a compressed lump having high compression density, and also to provide a novel compression method for chip by use of it. <P>SOLUTION: This chip compressor 1 is constituted in such a way that screws 3 for pressure feeding are substantially horizontally combined in the vicinity of a bottom face of a hopper 2, a bit 64 in which a feeding-out end 32 is arranged in a discharge port 22 in a condition in which it passes through the discharge port 22 and which corresponds to a side face supply port 62 of a compression chamber 61 of a vertical compression cylinder 6 and can perform compression operation is provided, and that a shutter 7 for opening and closing is assembled in just below a feeding-out port 63 so that each part performs linkage operation automatically in accordance with each process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
