<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reinforced fibers which ensure strong adhesiveness between continuous fibers and a resin, do not lose flexibility, and can be applied to fiber-reinforced resin materials. <P>SOLUTION: This reinforced fibers for fiber-reinforced resin composite materials are characterized by imparting a polyester resin containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid in an amount of≥20% of the dicarboxylic acid component to inorganic or organic continuous fibers. This method for producing the reinforced fibers is characterized by immersing opened inorganic or organic continuous fibers in a treating solution containing a polyester resin containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid in an amount of≥20% of the dicarboxylic acid component and having a surface tension of≤70×10<SP>-3</SP>N/m, removing the excessive treating solution from the continuous fibers, and then drying the dried continuous fibers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
