PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a valve unit capable of preventing leakage of ink more reliably when a recorder is set in an inclining state. SOLUTION: A valve 50 provided in an ink channel interconnecting an ink cartridge and an inkjet recording head has a spherical body 55 in an ink chamber 52 formed in the body 51. The ink chamber 52 is provided with an opening 56 communicating with the inkjet recording head and an opening 57 communicating with the ink cartridge such that the openings 56 and 57 face each other and the ink chamber 52 is filled with ink. When the inkjet recorder is used, the spherical body 55 rests at the intermediate position of the openings 56 and 57 by gravity to open the ink channel. When the inkjet recorder inclines, the spherical body 55 rolls to the side of the opening 56 or 57 which is thereby closed thus closing the ink channel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
