PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for an image forming apparatus which provides an image of good quality free from an abnormal image (image deviation) and good transportability. SOLUTION: The fixing device for the image forming apparatus has: a first fixing roller 19; a second fixing roller 41 which faces the first fixing roller 19; and a fixing belt 18 which is trained over the second fixing roller 41 and rotationally moves together with the second fixing roller 41 to guide a recording medium P having the unfixed image to a gap of a fixing roller nip, wherein difference in speed between the guide portion and the nip portion of the fixing belt 18 is≤10%.
