PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism preventing slipping of a pad to be jointly used with a diaper and to provide an absorbent article with the same. SOLUTION: This pad slipping prevention mechanism comprises a wide-width elastic member and is fixed in an extended state between three-dimensional gathers and a top sheet adjacent to the longitudinal end part of the diaper. The elastic member may be any material, if only being a rubber material. The pad slipping prevention mechanism may be attached to the adjacency to one longitudinal end part of the diaper or may be attached to the adjacencies to the both end parts.
