PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device capable of efficiently extracting light from a cathode on an upper face side and displaying a high-quality image by preventing an organic layer and an electron injection layer from being oxidized and relaxing damage on the organic layer and the injection layer caused by spattering in manufacturing. SOLUTION: The element comprises at least a base material; an anode sequentially disposed onto the base material; an organic electroluminescent layer; a light transmissive inductive protecting layer; and a light transmissive cathode.
