PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system that plays back an optical disk without system booting. SOLUTION: The computer system includes an optical disk drive for reproducing video/audio signals recorded on an optical disk, a drive reproduction part for converting the video/audio signals into signals processable by a display part and an audio output part and outputting them to the display part and/or the audio output part, a video/audio signal switching part for allowing the video and/or audio signals reproduced by the optical disk drive to be selectively transmitted to either a system body part or the drive reproduction part, a power supply part for supplying electric power to the system body part or the drive reproduction part, and a power switching part for allowing electric power from the power supply part to be selectively supplied to either the system body part or the drive reproduction part.
