PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater which is attached to the outer shell of a window part without deteriorating water tight property, and provides excellent outer appearance by reducing a gap in a vertical direction between the outer shell and the window part. SOLUTION: The fitting hole 15 of a step part 13 to which the projection 17 of the window part 16 is inserted is set to be in size by which the projection 17 is not brought into contact with the fitting hole 15 when the window part 16 is attached to the step part 13 by turning with the inserted projection 17 as a center. The projection 17 does not contact the fitting hole 15 when the window part 16 is attached to the outer shell 10. Consequently, the window part 16 is attached to the outer shell 10 without deteriorating water tight property, and also the vertical gap between the outer shell 10 and the window part 16 is reduced, so as to provide excellent outer appearance.
