PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cooling and transporting an edible bird carcass equipped with a cylindrical body horizontally extending and forming a water channel, a helical screw flight arranged in the cylindrical body and extending parallel to the cylindrical body, transporting the edible bird carcass in the water channel formed of the cylindrical body while cooling the edible bird carcass by rotating the screw flight and performing first-in first-out of the edible bird carcass without excessively increasing the length of the apparatus for cooling and transporting the edible bird carcass. SOLUTION: This apparatus for cooling and transporting the edible bird carcass is equipped with the cylindrical body horizontally extending and forming the water channel and the helical screw flight arranged in the cylindrical body and extending parallel to the cylindrical body and is designed to transport the edible bird carcass in the water channel formed of the cylindrical body while cooling the edible bird carcass by rotating the screw flight. The apparatus is further provided with an outer wheel arranged at the downstream end of the water channel and having a rotating shaft directed parallel to the rotating shaft of the screw flight, each cage mounted on the blade of the outer wheel, and an apparatus for rotating and driving the outer wheel.
