A packaging apparatus (10) includes a film cartridge inserting mechanism (22) has a case holder (60) for holding case (18) nonrotatably in an assembling position, a film cartridge holder (62) for holding the film cartridge (14) nonrotatably and inserting the film cartridge (14) into the case (18), and a guide mechanism (66) having a guide cylinder (64) for guiding the film cartridge (14) therethrough into the case (18), the guide cylinder (64) being rotatable to hold a film leader (12a) of a rolled photographic film (12) housed in the film cartridge (14), around an outer circumferential surface of the film cartridge (14). The film cartridge (14) with the rolled photographic film (12) housed therein can automatically be inserted smoothly into the case (18) through the rotating guide cylinder (64). The packaging apparatus (10) is relatively simple in structure because it has no mechanisms for rotating the film cartridge (14) and the case (18). <IMAGE> |
