The suspended crane track has a track rail (1) made up of several sections of hollow profile with the movable carriage (2) guided on the track inside the profile. The carriage has an electric drive supplied with energy through an energy supply inside the hollow profile. The carriage is mounted to travel over drives such as toothed drives which are mounted completely inside the hollow profile. The toothed drive preferably has a fixed toothed belt spanned inside the hollow profile.
