PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add natural vibrato and tremolo while generating performance information based on a musical score or the like. SOLUTION: A normalized (amplitude is made constant) vibrato waveform is stored. Then, this vibrato waveform is multiplied by an envelope waveform shown in Figure 2 and the result is used as a final vibrato waveform. The ratios of an attack section and a release section in the entire envelope waveform varies in accordance with the applied sound value. For example, the example in Figure 2 indicates the envelope waveform corresponding to a quarter note and the ratio of the attack section is 20%. However, for an eighth note, the ratio is changed to 36%. |
