The multiphase linear electric motor (10) has a primary portion (11) which may be attached to the elevator cage, producing a moving magnetic field. It fits between the sides (13,13') of a U-shaped secondary portion (12) with a wire coil structure, fastened to the wall of the shaft in the building. The electromagnetic coils in the sidewalls are connected to structural sidewalls (15) on a base (16). |
