The invention relates to the chemical industry, in particular to processes for producing and purifying synthetic diamonds. A method for diamond enrichment of mixtures thereof with graphite and amorphous carbon is performed by thermal oxidation of mixture in which vanadium compound is added in the solid state at an amount of 0.1-10 % by weight in the presence of hydrogen peroxide at an amount of 0.1-50 g per 1 kg of diamond and graphite charge. The invention provides increase of diamonds purification degree.
