The claims also cover a method for treating agricultural land, involving direct application of (I) (optionally mixed with other granular or pelleted agricultural products), using manual or preferably mechanical methods. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# A useful application is provided for the vinasse and sludges, which are produced in large amounts as waste from distilleries and are difficult to dispose of in an environmentally acceptable manner. The vinasse or sludge contains a wide range of components beneficial to plants, e.g. low molecular polymeric complexes (having nutrient complexing or chelating and cation exchanging action), inorganic fertilizing components (especially potassium, but also smaller quantities of nitrogen and phosphorus), microelements, calcium (having desalinating action) and yeasts (containing proteins to be converted into aminoacids in the plants). (I) is easy to apply and inexpensive to produce. #CMT#AGRICULTURE : #/CMT# Preferred Components: (I) contains 4-95 (preferably 4-50, especially 13) wt. % (a) (as solids) and 5-95 (preferably 50-96, especially 87) wt. % (b). Organic (b) is cane bagasse or compostable organic material. Inorganic (b) is clay, silicate, nitrate or sulfate. Preparation: Claimed preparation of (I) involves adding (a) (in solid or liquid form) to (b) and granulating or pelleting.
