PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method of improving dent-resistance of a steel sheet by which the yield strength of the steel sheet is improved and excellent formability is secured by giving pre-strain to the steel sheet by imparting a prescribed draft when performing temper rolling which is performed in order to correct the consistency (hardness) and the shape of the steel sheet. SOLUTION: In a method by which pre-strain is imparted in the uniaxial stretched state before the press working of the steel sheet, the yield strength of the steel sheet is improved by the increase in work hardening amount and, preferably, the method for imparting the pre-strain is characterized in that the skin pass rolling is performed at the draft of 1.8 - 2.0% when manufacturing a cold-rolled steel sheet.
