PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe constituted so as not only to reduce the load of a patient because many different cross-sectional images can be acquired even if the rotation of a probe part in the body or the insertion of the probe part into the body is not done over again but also to easily acquired many different cross-sectional images ready to acquire. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe is equipped with the probe part 100, wherein a vibrator part 120 including a vibrator 121 held by a holding member 122 is arranged in the leading end part of a probe sheath 110, and the operation part 200 arranged to the other end of the probe part 100. A vibrator revolving and holding machanism 300 has two revolving and holding members 310 for holding the vibrator 121 so as to revolve the same around the axis parallel to the ultrasonic transducing surface of the vibrator 121 and a diagnostic direction operating knob 210 is provided to the operation part 200. Two linear members 410 are arranged between the back of the ultrasonic transducing surface of the vibrator part 120 and the diagnostic direction operating knob 210 to provide a vibrator revolving operation mechanism 400 for changing the direction of the ultrasonic transducing surface from the operation part 200.
