The gate has two gateposts (5) with hinges (4) carrying a broad (2) and a narrow (3) swinging gate leaf. There may be a mechanical drive (11) for the broad leaf. The narrow leaf has a handle (7) on either side working a lock (6) with a bolt. The bolt engages in a recess in the edge of the broad gate leaf. A guide member (12) for the end of the bolt is fastened to the edge of the broad leaf. A fitting in the ground (14) is engaged by an additional spring-loaded bolt on the bottom edge of the narrow gate leaf.
