<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing ring with improved slidability and sealability by improving technology of an X ring. <P>SOLUTION: This sealing ring 10 seals sliding faces of a shaft member 30 and a hole member 20. It consists of an elastic annular body stored in a storage channel arranged on either of sliding faces of the shaft member 30 or the hole member 20 and abutting on the other sliding face. It has four protruding parts 12 extending in four directions in the direction in which it is inclined for the direction of central axis of the sealing ring 10 in a cross sectional shape. The protruding part 12 in the abutting direction on at least the other sliding face among the protruding parts 12 has a linear side 14 arranged at the center of a tip of the protruding part 12 and inclined in the direction of central axis of the sealing ring 10 and a pair of arc-like sides 15, 16 arranged at both ends of the linear side 14, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
