<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately record and/or reproduce information with respect to an optical pickup device and an optical element provided in the same. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pickup device 1 for recording and/or reproducing information is provided with an objective lens 5 which condenses laser light of a plurality of wavelengths including a wavelength λ1 nm (390≤λ1≤430), on an AOD 100 and a DVD 200. The objective lens 5 is provided with one or more lens main bodies 50 and antireflection films 51 which are provided on both surfaces of the lens main bodies and have optical functional surfaces 52 and 53 formed thereon. A reflectivity Rp<SB>1</SB>of p-polarized light and a reflectivity Rs<SB>1</SB>of s-polarized light of first laser light of the wavelength λ1 on optical functional surfaces 52 and 53 satisfy ¾Rp<SB>1</SB>-Rs<SB>1</SB>¾≤2% when an angle θ<SB>1</SB>formed between the optical functional surfaces 52 and 53 and the first laser light is 0°≤θ<SB>1</SB>≤60°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
