<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording paper and a method for manufacturing it in which even when a substrate is coated with a porous layer comprising a hydrophilic binder and fine particles in a thick film and at a high speed, a crazing is hardly generated during manufacturing, and a flexible coating film with a high ink absorbing properties, and an excellent image can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording paper with a porous layer comprising inorganic fine particles and a hydrophilic resin to be crosslinked by an ionizing radiation, is characterized in that the surface of the porous layer has a lightness index L<SP>*</SP>in a CIE color space of ≥85, a consciousness chromaticity index a<SP>*</SP>of -3 to +2 and a consciousness chromaticity index b<SP>*</SP>of -4 to +3 when it is displayed by a method for displaying a color prescribed by JIS-Z-8730 measured in accordance with a method prescribed by JIS-Z-8722. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
