<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently create a printing job by editing a print layout. <P>SOLUTION: In a template mode, a template is set for each page to lay out images ordinarily.A group is closed for each page. A package treats a plurality of templates as one pack (with a plurality of pages) and all groups within the package are regarded as the same group to lay out the same images. In packaging, a screen indicates a list (drop-down list) of template names corresponding to sizes of printing media designated by a media/printer selection box 146. This template information (drop-down list) is acquired from a print server machine by a layout editor.
