<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for displaying a three-dimensional image having practical level quality by using a rotary self-luminous two-dimensional display panel. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL panel 8 is used as a self-luminous two-dimensional display panel, and the organic EL panel 8 is rotated at a high speed centering the rotary shaft O by rotating a rotary plate 6 at a high speed. Two-dimensional cross-sectional images are displayed on the organic EL panel 8 by switching them in synchronization with the rotary angle of the organic EL panel 8, and thereby a three-dimensional image as a set of the continuous two dimensional cross-sectional images is displayed. In that case, since the organic EL panel 8 has a high speed refresh rate and is able to display the two-dimensional cross-sectional images by switching in synchronization with the rotary angle, the three-dimensional image can be displayed with practical level quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
