PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductor having at least either a property by which an oxide superconductive layer with a stable superconductive property in a longitudinal direction of a base material is formed without generating warps on the base material due to compression stress at a formation of a polycrystal intermediate thin film or a property by which a desity of a critical current density around an overall is improved without causing distortion on the base material due to a high-temperature atmosphere at a deposition of an oxide superconductive layer even if a tape-like base material with thin thickness is used. SOLUTION: In an oxide superconductor 20, an alignment control polycrystal intermediate thin film 22 in which a plurality of crystal grains are bonded is formed on an upper face of a tape-like base material 21, a polycrystal quick intermediate thin film 23 is formed on a lower face of the base material 21, and an oxide superconductive layer 24 is formed on an upper face of the thin film 22.
