PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for electrostatic image development which has good electrostatic charge stability against an environmental change and is capable of obtaining good images stably for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development contains a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent, in which the binder resin is a polyester obtained by using at least fumaric acid and/or maleic acid as a raw material monomer and the charge control agent is a negatively chargeable charge control agent or positively chargeable charge control agent and the total content of the unreacted fumaric acid and/or maleic acid in the toner is≤0.20wt%.
