PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system capable of changing contents of start-up animation or screen saver animation easily and performing them on-memory. SOLUTION: The computer system has data of the start-up animation and the screen saver animation performed as a partial function of a system program as an external file, and the system program designates animation data not by an address within the program but by a directory of a hard disk. Since the external file is used, it can be easily rewritten by download or the like. Then, all the animation data are read out to a RAM, the animation is performed on-memory, while the rotation of the hard disk is stopped. Thus, a life of the hard disk can be extended.
