PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt tension adjusting device capable of preventing an enlarged size in the belt tension adjusting device and being suitable for in-line operation in a simple operating procedure. SOLUTION: The belt tension adjusting device comprises a belt supporting section 12, and a slidable measuring rod 15, a pressing part 20a pressing a belt B for auxiliary devices at an uniform pressure, an indicator 22 displaying an sliding amount of the measuring rod 15 by converting the amount into rotation of the indicator, the sensor 28 of a detector 5 sensing the position of the indicator 22 when the tension of the belt is within a predetermined range, and the buzzer 30 of an alarming section 6 giving alarming sounds to operators.
