PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile seal member for easily and securely sealing between members to be connected. SOLUTION: The seal member 25 is held between the opposed faces of a housing portion and a flange portion between a first member having the housing portion and a second member having a shaft portion stored in the housing portion and the flange portion ranging to the shaft portion, stored in the housing portion and connected to the first member. The seal member 25 comprises a first flat seal part 251 held between the opposed sealed faces of the housing portion and the flange portion for sealing between the sealed faces with a seal face SS and a second seal part 351 ranging from the first seal part 251 and mounted in a mounting groove formed between the boundary of the flange portion from the shaft portion and the housing portion for sealing between the sealed faces of the mounting groove.
