PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoist crane capable of reducing the load swinging phenomenon to such a degree as not impairing the practical use and allowing even an unskilled operator to perform safety loading/unloading works. SOLUTION: The hoist crane of automatic centripetal type is composed of a means to disengage brakes for a traversing device and a running device before a wind-up motor is started and perform repetitively the short-time wind-up operations intermittently and automatically and a means to set the wind-up operation time, the period of repetition and its frequency, and the hoist is drawn to approximately right over the load by repeating the short-time wind-up operations.
