PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the position of cut flowers or the like when they are put in a container. SOLUTION: An auxiliary implement 10 for the container 1 comprises a body 20 which can be arranged at an upper opening 4 of the container 1, overhanging parts 31, 32 overhanging sidewise from both side faces of the body 20, respectively, and at least more than one opening holes 21a, 24a which are formed on the body 20 to penetrate it vertically. When the body 20 is arranged at the upper opening 4 of the container 1, the overhanging parts 31, 32 are placed on the edge 3 of the upper opening 4. The body 20 and the overhanging parts 31, 32 are made by assembling tabular members, such as paperboards, and an upper face tabular member 21 and the overhanging parts 31, 32, which compose the upper face of the body 20, are formed integrally.
