The present invention relates to a permanent hair waving agent or a hair straightener comprising a bead, more particularly, to a permanent hair waving agent or a hair straightener comprising (a) a bead of a substance to be stable in a reducing agent, an alkaline chemical, an oxidizing agent, and in acidic and alkaline regions, in which the substance to be stable contains a certain amount of a nutritious substance for alleviating hair and scalp irritation and protecting and recovering hair and scalp; and (b) a certain amount of an aqueous thickener for dispersing the bead in aqueous alkaline and acidic solution with constant distribution pattern. The present permanent hair waving agent or a hair straightener can alleviate damage and irritation to hair and scalp, provide stable and elastic curl and straight with rapidity irrespective of heat treatment, reduce significantly the occurrence of offensive odor, and exhibit excellent visual appearance due to the constant dispersion of beads with other color in transparent formulation.
