<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display written data written on a form, in such a way as to position the data in a space for entering display data on a separately prepared form. <P>SOLUTION: A character string which a user writes on a form is taken into a computer 100 as written data by a written data acquisition device 20. The computer 100 recognizes the characters of the character string, analyzes its contents, and refers to format definition 120 to specify the space in which to write the character string. Based on the specification result, the computer 100 specifies the amount of deviation needed to align the display position of the written data with the space, and corrects the written data. This eliminates the need for the user to perform any special operation for alignment, and enables the written data to be displayed in such a way that it appropriately overlaps the form. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
