摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacement method for an existing buried pipe in the ground, which enables the efficient replacement of the existing underground buried pipe made of any kind of iron material, and new-pipe leading equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A groove 7a is formed in the inner peripheral surface of the existing buried pipe 7 in an axially extending manner. Next, the new-pipe leading equipment 1 and a new pipe 9 in the rear of the equipment 1 are arranged in the buried pipe 7, and the following operations are performed while both the equipment 1 and the new pipe 9 are advanced in the axial direction of the buried pipe 7 by a pipe jacking device 14. The groove 7a is cooled by using a cooling mechanism 3. A rupture and cut-open mechanism 4 is brought into pressure contact with the cooled groove 7a, and the buried pipe 7 is axially ruptured and cut open. The ruptured and cut-open buried pipe 7 is pushed for expansion in the direction of a normal line by using a diameter enlarging mechanism 5, so that a diameter of the buried pipe 7 can be enlarged. The new pipe 9 is advanced in the inward direction of the ruptured and cut-open buried pipe 7 by using the equipment 1 as a guide, along with the advance of the equipment 1, so as to be laid in a prescribed position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
