<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical distribution management system for surely reducing a cost related to physical distribution. <P>SOLUTION: In a shared distribution center system 3<SB>1</SB>, a distribution management server displays order information including a transportation fee and the like in a display device. A carrier checking the order information displayed on the display device and wishing a contract for proxy transportation transmits intention of application at a first gate. When a carriage Ca carrying a loaded cargo leaves a shared distribution center and starts to move to a target shared distribution center, tracking of the cargo is started. That is, passage of the cargo is detected by means of multiple cargo passage detectors 5, 5, and etc. arranged along a road, and when the cargo passage detector 5 detects passage of the cargo, cargo passage detection information is transmitted to an information management center 2. The carrier pays an amount found by subtracting a transportation fee from an expressway toll when it passes a final point gate.
