<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock device for a vehicle door without a need for wiring of a cable in a roundabout state. <P>SOLUTION: A cable 5 as "an operating force transmission member" provided between a handle 2 and a door lock 4 transmits an operating force in the handle 2 pulling direction to the release lever 14 of the door lock 4 as a rotating force around a shaft to operate and release the door lock 4. By this constitution, there is no need for wiring of the cable 5 in a roundabout state, which is advantageous in terms of the wiring workability of the cable 5 to a door 1 and cost. A structure converting the operating force of the handle 2 into the rotating force of the cable 5, and a structure converting the rotating force of the cable 5 into the operating force of the release lever 14 of the door lock 4 are formed by a rack and pinion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
