PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire reduced in high frequency load noise without deteriorating cornering characteristics. SOLUTION: A reinforcement layer 11 is provided between a vertical groove 12 formed on a tread part 2 of the pneumatic tire 1 and a belt layer 4. The reinforcement layer 11 is formed by a member having higher rigidity than that of a rubber forming the tread part 2 and is formed into a width of 100-200% of the width of the vertical groove 12. In the reinforcement layer 11 and the vertical groove 12, the reinforcement layer 11 is provided at a position where the whole part of the vertical groove 12 gets into the inside of the width of the reinforcement layer 11 when the pneumatic tire 1 is viewed from a tread surface 3 direction to a central axis 7 direction. As a result, since the rigidity of the part of the tread part 2 reduced by providing the vertical groove 12 is reinforced by the reinforcement layer 11, the rigidity of the tread part 2 is made approximately uniform and the high frequency load noise is reduced without deteriorating the cornering characteristics.
