PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method for a radioactive element, fixing the radioactive element stably over a long period. SOLUTION: In this fixing method for the radioactive element, apatite sealed with an inorganic porus body adsorbing the radioactive element is sintered by discharge plasma at 800-1,600°C temperature with 30-500 MPa pressure. Alternatively, the apatite is temporarily molded, and a temporary molding thereof is pressurized to 100-1,000 MPa by a cold hydrostatic pressing method and is sintered at normal pressures. Alternatively, the apatite is molded by a hot isotropic pressure molding method at 750-1,600°C temperature with 30-1,000 MPa pressure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
