<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which can extend the life of a semiconductor laser diode by reducing a laser emission time when generating a sensor pattern for processing. <P>SOLUTION: In the image formation device for writing an image to an image carrier according to output data by irradiating laser beams emitted from two light sources onto the image carrier, the sensor pattern for processing is recorded by either of a first laser beam and a second laser beam or by alternately using the first laser beam and the second laser beam for every formation of the sensor pattern for processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
