<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-luminance surface light source element even in using a point light source such as an LED. <P>SOLUTION: Since a part of a cross-sectional shape of a reflecting surface 7a on the inside surface of each projecting part 7 of an emission light control plate 5 is formed into an arc-like form, the projecting part 7 can have the same reflecting function for light from different directions of the two or more point light sources 1 arranged separately from one another on a side surface of a light guide body 2, high luminance can be provided. By tightly fitting top parts of the projecting parts of the control plate 5 to the emission surface 2b of the guide body 2, a space between the control plate 5 and the guide plate 2 can be eliminated, so that this surface light source element can be miniaturized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
